I am a committed senior lecturer in adult nursing. I am a qualified teacher and the module leader for Understanding Public Health. Within my current role I teach public health to pre-registration nursing students. I am an innovative and effective administrator with a proven ability to work to tight schedules in my current and previous roles. I have been responsible for developing, organising and teaching on different modules. I strive to develop effective teaching methods that promote a stimulating learning environment for the students. My goal is to create a collaborative learning environment using a co-production philosophy.
I am also a health visitor and am responsible for supporting students in their community health visiting placements. Previously to this role I worked as a non-medical prescribing project manager at the Strategic Health Authority in Birmingham, implementing non-medical prescribing in the West Midlands. I have a strong background in public health through a number of different posts during my career. I have a Master of Philosophy degree in psychopharmacology from the University of Bradford and a degree in Psychology from the University of Lancaster.
