Trained as a nurse in 1997 and started my working life as a staff nurse in intensive care.
I was seconded to the university as skills lecturer in 2004.
I worked full time as lecturer on the RN/Dip/HE programme at the University of Wolverhampton from 2005-2006. I became a senior lecturer following completing the PGCE and registering with the NMC as a registered Nurse teacher, I am a successful module leader, group tutor and personal tutor working within the preregistration team at Burton Centre for the 10 years.
Completing a Masters’ degree with the focus on teaching through simulated learning. My interests lie in simulation and inter- professional education and learning.
I am now a senior lecturer and Course Leader for the Post Graduate Physician associates (PA) studies within the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine @ the University of Wolverhampton, leading a team of PA lecturers, and medics to deliver a very intense 2 year medical focused programme.
I am currently a doctoral student and aiming to research the emerging role of the Physician associate into the UK health care system
