I have been a midwife for nearly forty years and practised as an educationalist since 1990.  My experience has been wide and varied.  I am currently the Subject Leader for the Midwifery programmes and hold a national role as the Lead Midwife for Education for the University.  I maintain close links with the trust clinical areas and am a team member of the Supervisors of Midwives based at the Maternity Unit at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.

My interests are in intrapartum care, maternal health after childbirth, global and international perspectives in midwifery and the equality of opportunity.  The latter loosely underpins my doctoral work which I am aiming to complete early in 2019.
