I am currently a senior lecturer at University of Wolverhampton teaching Public Health. My teaching experience reflects teaching health degree programmes. I lead Public Health modules and the Masters in Public Health, Health and Social Care and Health and Wellbeing modules. I have trained and supported staff and students in their personal development journey. I co-lead on the ‘Health in India’ international study programme.
My past work experience consists of leading a cluster of Sure Start Children’s centres in dis-advantaged areas of Sandwell (Ofsted inspection judgment for Smethwick Cape Hill: Outstanding in all core areas of delivery, February 2012). I have also managed Health Promotion Programmes in inner city areas of Birmingham. I have worked in partnership with European partners, namely Rome and Paris to support the Anti-poverty movement. The Health Promotion initiatives that I implemented won the NHS Equalities Award for Outstanding achievement.
