What sort of questions will I be asked at interview/on my numeracy test/on my literacy test?

We do not give out information regarding the questions you may be asked at interview. The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us.

For the BSc (Hons) Midwifery interview, you will be required to bring with you an item or image of something that encapsulates, for you at least one of the 6 C’s (Compassion, caring, courage, competence, communication or commitment).  You should be prepared to present and discuss this to a small group within a 3-4 minute timeframe.

I am unable to attend the interview date and time allocated to me, can I change it?

It is not advisable to reschedule your interview date and time, as places are limited and you may lose out on the opportunity to be offered a place for your chosen award and intake. However, if it is unavoidable that you are unable to attend, for example, examinations, then you must inform the admissions department at as soon as possible. Please note that we cannot guarantee a second interview date. If you are unable to attend the second date, your application will be withdrawn.

I have attended my interview, how long will it be until I receive confirmation of this?

The final decision will be sent to you via UCAS within 2 weeks of your interview date.

I was unsuccessful at interview and require further information regarding this decision?

You will have received feedback regarding this decision via e:Vision.

I applied through UCAS and was unsuccessful at interview and wish to know when I can re-apply?

The next time you will be able to apply will be during Clearing which usually occurs from mid to late August of each academic year. Please visit our Clearing website a bit nearer the time for further information on how to do this.

Can I swap the field of Nursing I wish to study after my interview?

We believe that you will have made a clear and informed decision about the field of nursing in which you wish to study. Therefore once accepted we do not provide any opportunity to change the field of nursing chosen.
