National Award for Special Educational Needs (SEN) ‌Coordination (SENCO)

Serco in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton offer the National Award for SENCOs

Length: 12 months

Start date: September 2018, the application deadline is 9th August 2018.

Cost: £990+VAT or £350+VAT per module.

This programme is mandatory for newly qualified SENCOs, but is also highly relevant for experienced SENCOs and a valuable option for Continued Professional Development (CPD), resulting in a PGCE and 60 credits towards a Masters degree. 

The programme is part-time, fully online and delivered in three modules with an online meeting at the start of each module.  It is designed to be flexible, taking into account prior learning as well as personal circumstances and intended to reduce time out of school.

Serco is an approved and experienced training provider for the National Award for Special Educational Needs (SEN) Coordination, a National College for Teaching & Leadership training programme designed to support the professional development of SENCOs.

Together, Serco and the University of Wolverhampton deliver this programme as an approved provider.

Please note that the application process for this SENCO award is administered by Serco. 


**Please note that to gain the SENCO Award, applicants must have Qualified Teacher Status.  If you are not a qualified teacher then you may still be eligible to join the programme and receive a Post Graduate Certificate in Special Needs and Inclusion.**
