The University of Wolverhampton NPQs brings together the Institute of Education’s high-quality teacher education with some of the highest quality and most inspiring serving school leaders in our partnership. Our programme offers nationally recognised leadership qualifications at four levels, middle, senior, aspiring head teacher and executive leadership. The approach is a blend of face to face, workplace and online learning to maximise accessibility.
These programmes support you to lead a team, develop leadership skills across a school, enhance your strategic management capabilities, improve the quality of educational provision and managing resources to achieve your leadership goals. You will study alongside aspiring and serving leaders from across the region. If you wish, we are always happy to work with you to accredit your learning through our Masters programme in a way which suits you.
It is widely recognised that effective leadership creates the right conditions for all pupils to achieve. These new qualifications will secure better outcomes for all learners, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
These qualifications relate to leadership at different levels, and they are broken down into Middle Leadership, Senior Leadership, Headship and Executive Leadership. They are designed to be a clear pathway of progression through to Executive Leadership, helping to grow individuals and support school improvement.
The Middle Leadership, Senior Leadership, Headship qualifications are delivered in the West Midlands and the Executive Leadership qualifications are delivered nationally.
