Our purpose-built Performance Hub – like our arts students and graduates – stands out from the crowd. Its diverse range of fully equipped music teaching, performance and practice rooms can accommodate everything from the solo superstar to big bands.

Our two high-end professional recording studios offer the perfect blend of digital and analogue technologies giving students the opportunity to combine classic analogue recording technique with the flexibility and reliability digital technology provides. As well as a dedicated live room each for recording, for increased flexibility and choice of room acoustic, any of the music rehearsal rooms surrounding each studio can also be patched into the studio's control room.

What’s more, two bespoke technology suites boast sixty Apple iMacs running industry standard software including Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Max, Pure Data and SuperCollider. Why not take a look around..?

Did you know we’re one of only a handful of All-Steinway Schools in the country? This means that over 90% of the University’s piano stock are Steinway brands. So whether you’re sitting down to one of the Essex uprights, caressing the keys of a Boston grand, or about to perform your masterpiece on the polished perfection of the Steinway grand, you can be reassured the quality of Steinway will accompany your every note.

4) The University of Wolverhampton – just down the road

Our music courses are based at the friendly and creative community at our Walsall Campus. But you don’t need to be here in person to make the most of studying with us. You can study Foundation degrees at a number of our partner colleges around the country, as well as in 6 different locations around the UK, from Edinburgh to Southampton, with our partnership with the Academy of Music and Sound. We also have a number of online options available!
