About

I began working at the University of Wolverhampton in 1998, teaching English to pre-sessional students taking the IELTS exam. Since then, I have developed and taught on courses, including international pre-sessional and in-sessional students, teacher development courses, and initial teacher training of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. I am currently TESOL Course Leader. I am interested in reflective learning, course design and development, and SLA.

  • (2008) On Safari in Wolverhampton! Encouraging Erasmus students to explore the English around them – Presentation given at BALEAP PIM in Manchester based on assignments developed for an English Grammar, Lexis & Translation module.
  • (2013) Demonstrating reflective thinking in learner journals: ideas for improvement- talk given at IATEFL Liverpool based on assignments developed for the TESOL Work Placement module.
