University gets fired up about National Apprenticeship Week

The University of Wolverhampton is celebrating the 12th National Apprenticeship Week (#NAW2019) with a series of events from Monday 4th March through to Friday 8th March 2019.

On Monday 4th March we will be welcoming a new cohort of Nursing Associate Degree Apprentices to Walsall Campus for their Induction Day.

On Tuesday 5th March we will be supporting a Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust event. The Trust has members of staff studying for the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship in the University of Wolverhampton Business School.

Staff from the University of Wolverhampton Apprenticeship Hub will be on hand to give advice to potential Apprentices and employers at the Telford Apprenticeship Show at the Telford International Centre on Stand 15 on Thursday 7th March 2019.

On Friday 8th March, the University of Wolverhampton in Stafford (UWiS) will be holding a Degree Apprenticeship Employer Event from 12.00 pm until 2.00 pm. Staff from the Apprenticeship Hub will be on hand to advise employers and lunch will be provided.

Michele Roberts, Head of the Apprenticeship Hub at the University of Wolverhampton, said: “National Apprenticeship Week is an ideal opportunity for us to showcase the Degree Apprenticeships we’ve got on offer as well as celebrating some of the employees who are studying with us who work for a range of employers both locally and nationally."

The University offers Higher and Degree Apprenticeships in Chartered Management (CMDA), Senior Leader Master’s Degree Apprenticeship, Higher Apprenticeship in Construction Management with pathways for Civil Engineering & Built Environment, Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Legal Executive, Manufacturing Engineer, Design & Development Engineer, Civil Engineering, Nursing Associate, Nursing Degree Apprenticeship, Postgraduate Teaching, Digital and Technology Solutions Professional and Healthcare Science Practitioner (Respiratory & Sleep Physiology or Cardiac Physiology) Degree Apprenticeships.

Future Higher/Degree Apprenticeships will include Policing, Social Work, Building Control, Laboratory Science and Paramedic Degree Apprenticeships.

The University’s Apprenticeship Hub provides a bespoke and independent venue for potential apprentices, employers and learning providers, offering clear and integrated progression routes for vocational pathways.
