The University’s Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre along with the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, University of Wolverhampton Business School and the Black Country Growth Hub is hosting the free Live Budget event on Monday 29 October 2018.
As well as having the opportunity to watch the budget as it’s delivered by Chancellor Philip Hammond MP, guests can then hear an expert panel discuss what it means for business as part of a live Q&A session.
The panel will be chaired by Chief Executive of the Black Country Chamber, Corin Crane, and will also consist of Martin Dudley, Director at Thomas Dudley; Tracey Jackson Business Development Manager at Howells Glazing; Francesca Hutchinson Tax Director at Dyke Yaxley, Paul Kalinauckas Chief Executive of BCRS Business Loans and economist Dr Ian Jackson of the University’s Business School.
A buffet lunch is also included as part of the event, which takes place between 12pm and 2:30pm* at the Business Solutions Centre at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park in Glaisher Drive.
Gary Dimmock, Business Solutions Centre Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting this event to mark the 2018 Budget statement and we’d love to see as many local businesses here as possible.
“It is a fantastic opportunity to view the Budget first hand as well as to hear from the experts on what it means for them and how it may affect business and the economic landscape across the Black Country and West Midlands region.”
The event is free but attendees are asked to register via a special Eventbrite page that has been set up for delegates.
*Timings are subject to change, depending on the Parliamentary schedule. All registered delegates will be advised of any changes as soon as information is received.
