VIDEO: Professor receives knighthood

Professor Sir Alan Tuckett has forged a reputation as the ‘voice of adult education’ during an illustrious career which has been dedicated to developing lifelong learning on a global scale.

He received a knighthood for services to education, particularly in support of adult learning, in the New Year Honours.

Sir Alan attended Buckingham Palace on Friday, 23 March 2018 to receive his knighthood from Prince William. He was accompanied by his wife, Toni Fazaeli, and his son Lewis and daughter Polly.
