Five star rating for conference accommodation

29/09/2016

New conference accommodation at the University of Wolverhampton has been given a top rating by the national tourism board.

The Telford Conference Centre has been awarded a five star quality campus rating by VisitEngland for its new double executive en-suite bedrooms.

The double executive bedrooms have a separate seating area with TV and coffee table for guests to relax in or hold informal small meetings, a modern bathroom and double bed with hotel style furnishings.

The additional four double bedrooms have been created to complement the existing 250 three star rated, single en-suite guest bedrooms and are available all year round on a bed only or B&B basis.

Louise Callaghan, Conference Sales & Marketing Manager, said: “The introduction of double en-suite accommodation is part of the continued investment plans in conference facilities at the Telford Innovation Campus, to enhance the customer experience.

“We have already seen a dramatic increase in the volume of bed bookings for 2016 and 2017 as event organisers, trainers and groups realise how centrally located the Telford Conference Centre is and the value for money of the overall packages provided in modern surroundings.”

The Telford Conference Centre also features a dining venue, The Common Room, and Greenshoots which includes Starbucks.

The Telford Conference Centre caters for up to 250 guests all year round.
