Sandeep Rai, graphic design graduate and Kulwinder Ghataore, film graduate and Raj Riat, Media graduate are all part of Moving Water Media, a film production company based in the West Midlands.

The team at Moving Water Media recently visited the Faculty of Arts, in particular the Fashion and Textiles department to film scenes for the education series - using student fashion pieces in an episode for BBC Bitesize Maths about geometry.

Producer at Moving Water Media, Sandeep Rai, said:  “It feels great to be able to return to the University and involve it in our current work.

“The whole team at Moving Water Media is based in the Midlands and we were keen to incorporate the city of Wolverhampton into the feature, we wanted to save the best ‘til last using our final day of filming to do some work on campus.

“Since leaving University, we all have gone into different careers - from graphic design, radio broadcasting and banking. Kulwinder Ghataore set up Moving Water Media Ltd. three years ago after a successful career in radio broadcasting - he has been passionate about using production opportunities such as this to incorporate the West Midlands and showcase it for how great it is.

“Kulwinder Ghataore, Raj Riat and I collaborated on this project we are all proud to have incorporated the University within our work as it gave us a great foundation for our careers and we all felt it apt to bring the last day of filming to it. The staff and students here have been fantastic.”

Course leader in Fashion and Textiles at the University of Wolverhampton, Sharon Watts, said: “It is just fantastic to see graduates reap the rewards of their hard work through successful career ventures.
“We were very proud to support the work of the team at Moving Water Media who wanted to incorporate the University into their current project.

“We were very happy to support the work they’re doing for BBC Bitesize, where the programmes show links between the everyday and some of the core subjects at school.

“Fashion involves shape so we focused on the circle and trapezium and used geometry to work out pattern pieces to create a fabulous outfit.”
