University’s annual art show to open

03/06/2014

Art degree showEach year, final year students celebrate their time at the University by showcasing their work to local schools, colleges, businesses, regional arts organisations, alumni and the wider public.

The show, which runs from 7-14 June 2014, will include eye-catching pieces from across the applied arts – including glass and ceramics, digital media, fashion and textiles, fine art, graphic communication, illustration, interior design, photography and product design.

Among this year’s designs are some surprises as students aim to intrigue their audience with some site-specific installations throughout the seven floors of this iconic Wolverhampton building.

Su Fahy, Principal Lecturer for Fine Art and Photography, said: “There really is a wealth of talent within the Faculty of Arts and re:View is a chance to showcase this. We are very proud of our students and this is a fantastic opportunity for the public to see some unique and inspiring artwork.”

The School of Art and Design has exhibited over 8,000 students' work since opening its doors at the first degree show in 1969, and features some of the brightest new artists and designers in the country.

The show will be held at MK Building in Molineux Street, Wolverhampton, and is open to the public. For more information please contact Bhavna Parmar.
