University to support Music Festival

28/08/2014

The University is set to attend this year’s Fusion Festival in collaboration with the sponsorship they secured with Birmingham’s number one radio station, Capital FM.

Capital FM breakfast presenters, Dan and Katy attended the University’s City and Walsall campuses earlier this month leading up to the music event.

The University will be attending the weekend festival along with their urban dance act ‘Antics’, who will be performing their iconic dance moves to the public.

The audience can expect to get involved in dance offs as they warm up the crowd with their own DJ in between stage performances.

On stage performances will include; Jessie J, The Wanted, Lawson, The Vamps, Pixie Lott, Ella Henderson and many more.

In addition, the University’s make-up artists and hairstylists will be giving away free festival make-overs to get the crowd in the festival spirit.

There will also be opportunities for prospective students to receive course information and expert advice as well as the chance to take part in competitions to win a number of top prizes such as; iPads, iTunes gift cards and Ticketmaster vouchers.

Hannah James, Undergraduate Marketing Manager said: “We are so pleased to be supporting the festival this year.

“We have lots of activities lined up for the audience to get involved in and hope to attract some interest from prospective students.”

The Fusion Festival will take place on August 30 and August 31 held in Cofton Park, Birmingham.
