Overseas students to celebrate graduation

20/11/2013

Over 100 students are to celebrate their success at this year’s annual Hong Kong graduation ceremony hosted by the University of Wolverhampton.

The event will see students graduate from the City University of Hong Kong's School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE) as part of the transnational education relationship they’ve enjoyed with the University of Wolverhampton since 2000.

The ceremony, to be held on November 28, will see students graduate from validated programmes including BA (Hons) Business Management, BSc (Hons) Construction Management, and LLM International Corporate and Financial Law, amongst others.

Speaking about the ceremony, the University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ian Oakes, said: “I’m delighted to be attending the graduation ceremony for our students based in Hong Kong, particularly as it is always a special event for everyone connected with both institutions.

“The University of Wolverhampton has a proud history of delivering programmes with educational partners both in the UK and abroad, and we’re thrilled that the City University of Hong Kong is a valued member of our international community.”

A feature of the University’s partnership with SCOPE includes the Hong Kong Alumni Association, formed in 2001 and boasting over 300 members.
