20/01/2012

People interested in starting or developing a career in nursing, midwifery, social work, health or social care are invited to an open day at University of Wolverhampton.

There will be information about a range of courses on Saturday, 28 January 2012 from 10am to 3pm at the University’s Wolverhampton and Walsall campuses.

In the MH building on the Wolverhampton City Campus there will be information about adult, children’s and mental health nursing, public health, health studies, social work, social care and complementary therapies.

In the WP building on the Walsall Campus there will be information on adult, children’s and learning disabilities nursing and midwifery. Information about foundation degrees will be available at both campuses.

Staff will be on hand to discuss which courses meet people’s needs and will be able to advise how prior qualifications and experience can be used to gain entry to an appropriate course of study. Students will also be available to talk about their experiences.

Ann Philp, Head of Recruitment said: “A career in the health professions, such as becoming a nurse or midwife, is hugely rewarding, and the opportunities both in the UK and abroad are endless. We have many different courses and our committed staff and fantastic students are always happy to guide you in your career choice.”
