Art students exhibit creative work

09/09/2011

Around 50 Masters students from the School of Art & Design will be exhibiting at the MA Graduate Show 2011, with a variety of pieces including a chimp sculpture and a street painting.

The exhibition at the West Bromwich Gallery is the culmination of years of hard work and covers various mediums from paintings, sculpture, print, illustration and photography to audio-visual pieces, animation, glass works and installation.

It showcases work from students who have completed courses in Fine Art, Art & Design and Design for Advertising, as well as PhD students.

Dr Alistair Payne, MA Fine Art Course Leader, said: “This exhibition represents the vibrant, energetic and imaginative group of postgraduate students graduating from the University of Wolverhampton this year.

“The work within the show presents the varied media and techniques within art and design that are currently being considered. The success of this year group is evident as you walk through The Public, which has provided an excellent space in which to exhibit.”

This is the first time the Show has been held at The Public and the University is very pleased with the exhibition space.

The exhibition runs from September 24 until October 9 and all are welcome. For more details see http://www.thepublic.com/exhibitions/university-wolve
