The University is hosting a Postgraduate Open Evening on Wednesday, 24 February 2010 for people interested in a range of part-time and full-time courses and individual research.
The event from 5.30pm to 8pm will take place at the University’s MX Building, in Camp Street, Wolverhampton.
Academic staff from each of the subject areas will be on hand to answer questions throughout the evening and there will also be presentations about specific courses.
Mick Waters, Professor of Education at the University of Wolverhampton, will give a keynote presentation on the benefits of postgraduate study.
Current students and recent graduates can also find out how to fast-track their careers by coming along to a day-time event between 11am and 3pm. The event will feature the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Grad Bus outside the Harrison Learning Centre. There will be a CV clinic, tips on interviews and an opportunity to chat to advisors about how to earn while learning on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
Danielle Spittle, Education Events Manager, said: “The Open Evening will give people a chance to get a real feel for the University, and discover a wealth of full and part-time programmes available for postgraduate taught study or individual research.
“As many of our courses offer the flexibility to build studies around weekly commitments, prospective students will be able to discuss the method of study that suits them.
“People can also take a look around our outstanding facilities and see first hand how our resources could make a genuine difference to postgraduate studies.”
