Event for people who work with children

Celebrating Integrated Working in Walsall will be held at the Walsall Campus on Wednesday, 11 June 2008, from 11am until 4pm. The event at the Gorway Road campus is jointly organised by the University and Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council.Event for people who work for children
 
The conference is aimed at people working with children and young people in social care, health services, education, children’s charities, the voluntary and private sector. There will be over 100 exhibitors from youth services, drug and alcohol services, language support teams, housing associates and many more as well as speakers on national policy and the senior choir from the Jane Lane School.
 
David Brown, Executive Director of Children’s Services at the Council, and Professor Kit Field, Dean of the School of Education, said: “The event will highlight local examples of best practice and provide a unique opportunity to meet all the other service providers from health, education and children’s services and the many voluntary organisations.
 
“The event will run all day to enable people to ‘drop in’ at a convenient point in their day.”
