Ben is eLearning co-ordinator at the School of Education and eLearning Advisor within the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL)
He is interested in staff development, particularly the application of Web 2.0 technologies to education and currently works in Pebblepad with Dennie Wilson from the Department of Dance Practice and Performance on a Palatine HEA subject centre project: 'Choreography: Dance & Digital Performance – Video Podcasts for the Studio to Enhance Practice Based Learning'.
He is also an e-mentor on the follow-up to the Pathfinder project with Dr. Vicki Thoms in the same department. In 2008 he won a Rewarding Excellence Award with Leisure and Lifestyle Industries Team for the launch a blended Foundation Degree (Travel Operations Management) with partner institutions.
Prior to the above, he was part of a team creating e-learning materials for use in the School of Art and Design and local FE colleges with JISC Exchange for Learning's E-Studio project. Some of these resources are still available free of charge to be adapted and developed in JORUM.
