University of Wolverhampton

Digital Insights survey

The University of Wolverhampton (‘The University’, ‘we’ or ‘us’) are a ‘Data Controller’, as defined by the Data Protection Act 2018 and are responsible for, and control the processing of your Personal Data. Our Data Protection Officer can be contacted at dataprotection@wlv.ac.uk.

This survey is carried out by the University of Wolverhampton in conjunction with JISC, to gather student feedback about their experiences around their digital learning environment. The data we have captured within the survey itself is not identifiable and responses are housed within the JISC BOS system, for one year. They are accessible by University of Wolverhampton staff for the purposes of understanding and improving the student experience.

There is a separate prize draw, for which we will collect your email addresses, if you choose to enter. This data is also stored in the JISC BOS system until the prize draw has ended in January 2023, when it will be destroyed. The University relies on legitimate interest to process your personal data in this instance.

As an individual, you have a number of rights available to you. To find out more about how you may exercise those rights, please see our Data Protection web pages available here or the ICO website for more information.

If you have any queries, concerns you may wish to contact the University of Wolverhampton’s Data Protection Officer via dataprotection@wlv.ac.uk or complain to the ICO via www.ico.org.uk. This privacy notice was last updated on 19 October 2022.
