Name: Lesley Blair (Wes for short)

Sport you coach: Netball

Your current level of coaching qualification: Level 3 Netball Coach, working in Performance for England Netball

An interesting fact: I can play the steel drums!! (True story)

Your background in your sport and how you go to where you are today: I have been involved in netball for 22 plus years having been guided as a player and coach by ex-England coaches. I have played at County, Regional and National League level and still currently play for my local club where I am head coach. I have worked on the Performance side of netball for over 10 years in the West Midlands and seen a number of girls come through the programme to represent at national level or are now representing Super League franchises.

A quote from you about the university and the season ahead: I am delighted and honoured to have been asked to be Head Coach this season at Wolverhampton University. I am excited that the University is looking to have netball as one of its focus sports for the coming season and beyond and their plans for Women's sport on the whole, going forward. Can’t wait to get started!
