Music applications

The UCAS tariff now incorporates music examinations at grade 6, 7 and 8 (theory and practical) from the following awarding bodies:

  • Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
  • Guildhall
  • London College of Music and Media (LCMM)
  • Trinity

For example, a pass in Grade 7 Theory is equivalent to 10 UCAS Tariff points and Key Skills Level 2.

You are required to attend interview, audition and sit a music theory entry test – instrumental and theoretical grades may be taken into consideration.
