Description:

The ‘Essentials of the Classroom’ session is aimed at people who are new to teaching at the University of Wolverhampton.  The session will include discussions about: the nature of the students at Wolverhampton; expectations of students and staff; supporting students; and supporting staff. 

The session is mandatory for anyone who has a teaching or demonstrating role with students.

*Both sessions are from 09:30-12:00, with lunch and questions from 12:00-13:00.  (We expect participants to stay for lunch and engage in the questions and discussions.)

How to Book

These sessions are part of the University Organisational Development (OD) programme. To be eligible to book you must have secured teaching/demonstrating and have agreement from your supervsory team. 

Please ask your Director of Studies to email OD@wlv.ac.uk providing the following details:

Your full name
Name of the course(s) you wish to attend
Which date/dates you can attend.
Any assistance/access requirements you may have (if applicable)

The OD team will then book the next available place and confirm the details with you or your Director of Studies.
