This is the starting point of academic writing and we encourage all students to attend this workshop before moving onto critical thinking.

Introduction to Critical Thinking

This workshop will introduce you to the concepts of critical thinking and critical analysis. Through critical thinking, your work will become more analytical and less descriptive.

We will show you how to identify a line of reasoning, analyse and evaluate work, and how to apply these skills to your own work.

Whether a stand-alone assignment or as part of a larger dissertation or project the literature review is an important piece of work that will involve the use of a variety of study skills.

This workshop will help you understand what a literature review is, think about adopting an effective search strategy, organize your notes and begin writing it.
