UoWguest - wireless for non-educational visitors

This is a network for visitors. It is another "open" network, so after connecting you need to open a Web browser and enter the credentials you were issued for your visit.

Non-educational visitors can connect their own computer or other device to our guest wireless network, UoWguest. This network provides access to the Internet only - not to University systems. It is available in all wireless locations, including residences. Visitors need to have a temporary account set up for them by a member of staff at the University for the duration of their visit. Conference delegates should contact the Conferencing Department, while others can ask the member of staff they are visiting, or the IT Service Desk (01902 322000).

Visitors from other educational institutions should connect to the eduroam service, using the username and password issued by their own institution to access the Internet here (remembering to include the institutional suffix).

University staff requiring help or information about setting up visitor accounts should contact the IT Service Desk on ext. 2000.

Connecting to UoWguest

Select UoWguest from the list of available networks and click Connect (or tap this entry in the list on a smartphone). Once connected, you will need to open a web browser to enter your credentials. You should see this screen:

Enter the username and password that were issued to you (not a University IT account name) and click Log In. You should now be able to access the Internet.

If you experience problems with this, please contact the IT Service Desk on 01902 322000.
