The ITS Service Desk comprises of Service Desk Institute Certified Professionals with a combined Customer Service experience of over 75 years.
I have been working in IT Services since 2001 as Service Desk Analyst. Previously I have worked in Customer Services and have 25 years of experience. I am a long standing member of the Service Desk Team.
Since 2008 I have been acting as Senior Service Desk Analyst and now been confirmed onto the role. My greatest achievement was winning the national IT Service and Support Person of the Year Award awarded by the Service Desk Institute in 2009.
My ambition in life is to travel the world. I choose not to drive or use public transport and walk to work every day regardless of the weather conditions.
Hi, I’m Beccy McVinnie and I’ve worked at the University in IT Services for 13 years, and have been on the Service Desk since 2011.
Whilst working here I’ve achieved my ECDL qualification and am also SDI qualified, having passed the Service Desk Analyst examination.
When I’m not working, I’m at home being a mom to my 2 children and looking after the small zoo of animals I seem to have acquired due to being a complete soft touch. Not having much time to relax, I’m always looking forward to my next break and you’ll often find me counting down the sleeps to my next holiday!
Jas has over three years experience of working as a member of the IT Service Desk Team. Initially he spent one year as a student placement, whilst studying for his BSc Computing with SCIT (now Stech). He enjoyed working with colleagues in ITS so much that he returned to a permanent role in 2010 after successfully completing his degree.
Jas is a qualified Service Desk Analyst with SDI and also has his ECDL qualifications.
He enjoys football and visiting the gym. Jas is an all rounder!
Jas is the Service Desk Analyst that drives the loud black Corsa on Red Hill!
My University of Wolverhampton journey started back in 2003 when I embarked on my four year Computing degree. After graduating in 2007 I decided to follow up on the support side of IT which I gained experience of during my placement year as an IT technician at a local school; where better to pursue this path than the University which had supported me during my studies.
Initially working as part of a small IT team in the Learning Centre providing face to face support for a variety of –predominately student – queries I made the leap to more varied queries as a member of the IT Service Desk in early 2010. After further training I added a recognised qualification from the Service Desk Institute to my experience to offer the best support possible. My main aim is to get you back working as quickly as possible.
Outside of work my love for technology continues. I enjoy the world of gadgets; from my networked media server at home, to the latest phones and tablets. I’m constantly looking for my next techie toy to play with! When I can resist a new tech toy I also enjoy travelling, particularly city breaks and will be visiting New York for the second time early in 2013.
