Here at the University of Wolverhampton, we extend a warm welcome to students from Rwanda and look forward to you joining us here in the UK.

We have a strong relationship with Africa and a strong presence in the continent, including our Regional Office and the work carried out by our Centre for African Entrepreneurship and Leadership.

Entry requirements for students from Rwanda

International Foundation Year

Students with the Ordinary Level Certificate of Education with grades of D1-C6, a score of 50% in the Diplôme de Fin d'Etudes Secondaires or a score of 50% in the Diplôme de Humanités Complètes after 1994 would be eligible for the International Foundation Year.

IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all components is also required


Students with a grade of C in English language in the Ordinary Level Certificate of Education would be exempt from English language requirements.

Undergraduate

Students with a minimum score of 70% in the Certificat du Cycle Supérieur de l'Enseignement Secondaire / Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education will be considered for entrance to a Bachelor programme

Students holding a Baccalauréat / Diplôme de Bachelier / Certificate of Higher Education / with a minimum score of 50% or C-will be considered for entrance to a Bachelor programme.

Postgraduate

Students with a Bachelor degree/ Diplôme de Docteur en Médecine from a NARIC or government recognised institution can normally be considered for admission onto a Master’s degree.

 

Honours Bachelor degree / Diplôme de Docteur en Médecine

A score of 70% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1

A score of 60% Bien is considered comparable to a UK 2:2

A score of less than 60% is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-masters course

 

Ordinary Bachelor degree

A score of 80% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1

A score of 70% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2

A score of less than 70% is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-masters course

English Language Requirements

English language requirements vary by course and department but are usually the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in every component. 

Country Specific Border Requirements

Tuberculosis (TB) certificate required.
