Entry requirements for students from Cape Verde

International Foundation Year

Students with a score of 10-13 can are eligible for entrance to the International Foundation year.

IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all components is also required.

Undergraduate

Certificado de Habiltações Literárias 3°Ciclo

Students with a minimum score of 14 can normally be considered for entrance to Bachelor programmes. 

Grau de Bacharel

Students with a minimum score of 14 can be considered for entrance onto the final year of Bachelor programmes.

Postgraduate

Grau de Licenciado

Students who have completed a Licenciatura degree from a NARIC or government recognised institution can normally be considered for admission onto a Master’s degree:

A score of 16 is considered comparable to a UK 2:1

A score of 14 is considered comparable to a UK 2:2

A score of less than 14 is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-master’s programme.

English Language Requirements

English language requirements vary by course and department but are usually the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in every component. 

Country Specific Border Requirements

Tuberculosis (TB) certificate required.
