Through the Looking Glass workshop ends

Language Networks for Excellence enjoyed hosting a Grundtvig Learner Workshop from 19-25 May 2013.

We were delighted to welcome 12 participants from the following countries:

  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Slovenia
  • Spain
  • Turkey

Along with four UK participants and the LNFE hosting team, the participants spent their visit travelling throughout the Midlands to see a variety of regional crafts and sights. This included:

  • 'Roses and castles' canal art at the Black Country Living Museum
  • 'Japanning' at Bantock House Museum
  • Glassblowing in Stourbridge
  • Leatherworking at Walsall Leather Museum
  • Cut Glass at the Wedgwood Visitor Centre
  • The Cathedral, Darwin's birthplace and Samuel Johnson's birthplace in Lichfield.

The workshop was funded by Ecorys, the Grundtvig UK National Agency.
