A pilot event for the LiMe project was held from 5-9 May 2014 in Empoli, Italy.
LiMe (Languages in Media) is a Key Activity 2 Languages Multilateral Project, financially supported by the Lifelong Learning Programme. LiMe aims to help develop language and cultural competences by providing migrants and language trainers with interactive tools to decode language and culture as portrayed in the various types of media we come into contact with on an almost-daily basis.
During the last 16 months, the project team have been developing resources that will meet the aims of the project. At the pilot event, teachers from all five partner countries were invited to test between 6 and 12 sample lesson plans and interactive exercises, available in the partner country languages (English, German, Polish, Spanish and Italian).
The feedback from the pilot event will be used by the project team to improve the resources during the second half of the project. At the end of the project, the platform and resources produced by the team will be made available on the project website.
