The School of Education provides a range of education courses from teacher training to PhDs and much more.

The School for Education Futures (SEF)  offers a comprehensive range of nationally-recognised courses in education for future and current education professionals. From cutting-edge teacher training courses and undergraduate courses covering the education sector to research degrees and continuing professional development (CPD) for all education professionals.

Teaching

We offer undergraduate and postgraduate teaching qualifications in Primary, Secondary and Further Education (Post Compulsory Education).

Education

We offer innovative programmes that explore key issues surrounding education in contemporary society. Although these courses do not lead to Qualified Teacher Status, they provide a rich depth of information for those who wish to pursue a career with education as a major part of their role.

If you're already working in the education industry and want to enhance your skills and career then our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities can help you.

We offer a PG Certificate, PG Diploma and Master in Education along with a Doctorate and PhD opportunities.

The Centre for Developmental and Applied Research in Education (CeDARE)

The Centre for Developmental and Applied Research in Education (CeDARE) brings together researchers and academic staff from across the School for Education Futures and the university as a whole. Now in its fifth year the centre has a developing reputation with central and local government, schools, a range of agencies, community organisations and practitioners for high quality research.
