University hits the right note at Steinway Hall

Steinway HallA distinguished group of honorary graduates and alumni were guests of the University of Wolverhampton at a drinks reception held at Steinway Hall in London.

During the evening Vice-Chancellor Geoff Layer set out some of the challenges and opportunities facing the institution over the coming years and underlined the significant role played by honorary graduates and alumni as an impressive pool of talent, experience and expertise for the University to draw upon.

Guests were treated to the very latest in molecular canapes and a spectacular performance of Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody at the grand piano by Chenxuan Zou, a music student who earned the chance to play at the prestigious occasion by winning the recent Lola Perrin competition.

The event proved to be a valuable networking opportunity which has already led to a raft of new pledges of support to the University from attendees.
