School wins at Teaching Awards

The Teaching Awards recognise the positive impact that individuals, both academic and support staff, have on the student learning experience. A Presentation ceremony at the Molineux on Monday 7 May 2012, held by the Students Union, with special guests from the NUS, Vice Chancellor (Geoff Layer), and the Office of the Vice Chancellor (Ann Holmes). teaching awards 2012

In the Teaching Awards, congratulations to:

  • Anthony Hatfield, (Built Environment) who won the Academic Resource Recognition Award
  • Nabeil Maflahi (Mathematics) who won the Module Team Proficiency Award
  • Pardeep Sud (Mathematics) was shortlisted for the Pastoral Award

Winners received a trophy which was designed and created by a student from the School of Art and Design, a Kindle Touch and a certificate.

In the Vollies category, congratulations to: 

  • Simeon Chandra won the School Rep of the Year Award, and was also shortlisted for Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Most improved Society went to St Johns Links – Sara Southall from Mathematics is a member of this Society.
  • Four STech Students were shortlisted for Course Rep of the Year Award – Kurtis Bateman and Rebecca Felton from Mathematics, Ebi Sanjee and Chris Beardmore from Engineering.
