Walk of the
Black Country 2012
The University of Wolverhampton proudly sponsored
the Free Radio Walk of the Black Country for the second consecutive
year.
The walk took place on Sunday 10 June 2012,
starting at Himley Hall, Dudley and finishing 10 miles later
at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
Thank you so much to all the University staff and students who
took part in a fun and enjoyable day! Over 14 Schools and
departments took part raising lots of money for Promise
Dreams.
Over 4,500 people took part this
year raising an amazing £117,000.
The walk was in aid of Promise
Dreams, a children's charity dedicated to fulfilling the dreams
of seriously ill and terminally ill children and their families,
with a percentage of funds also going to the Dudley and
Wolverhampton Mayoral charities.
