Student wins Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) scholarship

James Benting won the scholarship by applying directly and going through an interview process at the ICE site in the Aston Science Park, Birmingham.

James' future aspirations are to become more involved with ICE by becoming a technician member of the organisation, the HNC Civil Engineering course at the School of Technology is designed so the requirements for this membership are met.

James says “What it means for me, is that my place is secured for the rest of my education also it gives me the opportunity to get more involved with the ICE which as an organisation covers, and is involved with all aspects of Civil Engineering as a profession”.
