Mauritius Alumni Association

A new international alumni association in Mauritius is being launched at a celebratory event later this month.

The Mauritius Alumni Association is open to all graduates from, or currently living in, Mauritius.

Members will benefit from access to a highly skilled network of Wolverhampton graduates, businesses and experts, as well as a range of other benefits to help them in their own successful futures.

The association will be officially launched at a joint celebratory event that will also mark the launch of a new University of Wolverhampton campus in Mauritius opening later this year.

The event, which will take place on Monday 26 March 2012, will be attended by the The Hon. Mr Yatindra Nath Varma, Attorney General of the Government of Mauritius. Mr Varma graduated from Wolverhampton in 1998 with an LLB (Hons) Law and has been appointed the Honorary President of the Mauritius Alumni Association.

The Rt Hon Lord Paul of Marylebone, Chancellor of the University, will make a welcome address via video and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Geoff Layer, will undertake an official signing with the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr The Honourable Navinchandra Ramgoolam.

Mauritius is the third international alumni association of the University alongside the Hong Kong Alumni Association and the Indian Alumni Association.
