A centre with its eye firmly on the future, the Engineering and Computer Science Research Centre explores cutting edge technology in the fields of engineering, computing, gaming and materials science to create both virtual environments and real systems.

The centre is based within our School of Technology.

Recent highlights

  • technical support and guidance to the Hadley Group on a range of highly complex structural problems that have enabled the Group to make substantial progress in developing new products
  • dynamic simulation of implants for the knee, hip and shoulder
  • manufacture of tooling and component parts through Direct Laser Sintering and Melting Technology
