MA Fine Art
My work is reminiscent of half-lit natural history displays of
taxidermy preserved specimens contained within vitrines, with
mounted texts of further information pertaining to their habitat,
habits, age, binomial nomenclature and geographical locations.
There is a sense that you have walked in on a body of work and
research (a gathering of information) that manages to amuse without
being patronising, a feeling that this is a celebration of the
amateur passion - a genuine interest leading to an informed
grounded knowledge. Where books can tell us the facts, an observer
can bring them to life.
