Hong Kong Alumni Association attends British Council DinnerBritish Council Gala Dinner

Members of the University of Wolverhampton Hong Kong Alumni Association recently attended an Alumni Charity Gala Dinner hosted by the British Council in Hong Kong.

The dinner, which took place on the 11 March, was held in celebration of all alumni from across the Asia region who have pursued an education in the UK and returned to their home countries to begin their career.

Held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the dinner was attended by the President of the Hong Kong Alumni Association, Henry Tang, the Chairman, Anthony Kam, and the Vice-Chairman, Patrick Wan.

The University was also delighted to invite four members of the Hong Kong alumni community: Peggy Chu, Rudolf Yeung, Qiao Han and Alex Lam. They were joined by Chinese alumnus, Zoie Lin, who has successfully set up her own marketing and PR agency in Kowloon, and Director of the University’s International Centre, Jo Gittens and Head of the China Regional Office, Jeffery Gao.British Council Gala Dinner

The evening included keynote speeches from leading alumni from Universities across the globe and live performances from renowned performers.

The British Council has worked overseas with the alumni of UK universities, colleges, research councils and other bodies in countries around the world for over 30 years. Later this year the British Council will be launching an International UK Alumni Network which will build on the success of the events and activities already being run around the world.
