One formative assessment task within a PR module asks students to work in groups of three to set up their own PR Company. The students must pitch their company concept to a ‘Dragon’s den’ panel.
Blended Approach
To help them prepare for their pitch they are required to produce a company web site using the Web folio template in PebblePad for formative feedback. The students must meet in groups to develop the structure of their website and agree responsibilitiesre: development. The students must consider: the look and feel of the company, who they are aiming their business at, what their strengths and weaknesses are, who are their competitors. This task requires students to develop the team working abilities, negotiation and communication skills.
