The University uses grades to let you know how well you
have done in exams and coursework.
From September 2013, we will be using a
percentage-based marking scheme - this is in response to
student and employer feedback
Pre-September 2013, we were using an
alpha-numeric scale - for returning students, any existing
(pre-September 2013) awarded grades are “in the bank” and
unaffected by these changes (where a module was registered before
September 2013 and is still incomplete, it will still be graded
using the old scheme).
It is important to check each of your module guides,
which will detail the grading scale, including any criteria for
minimum pass grades.
