Making the most of your time at the University of Wolverhampton

What is expected of you

Because the University wants you to do your best, we expect you to participate fully in your learning experience. The University believes you will perform best if you regularly attend scheduled classes and participate in all activities associated with your modules.

Your lecturers carefully prepare the materials they use in class and genuinely care about your academic career, so try to let them know if you are unable to attend. If you are absent, you cannot expect lecturers to deliver the session again to you personally.

The most important thing to remember is that simply turning up will not be enough; you should expect to engage actively in your learning and work hard in your studies.

Student charter

Led primarily by the Students' Union and informed by student views, the student charter  is a set of shared expectations which establishes the values and standards we are seeking to promote across all of our learning community.

• don’t disrupt other people’s learning
• don’t use foul, or offensive language
• keep the University a clean, litter-free, friendly and safe place
• don’t let your actions harm, offend, or intimidate others
• don’t blame others for your own inadequacies
• don’t bring the University into disrepute
• take responsibility for your own learning.
