Our service is available to all students and staff at the University, including students who are taking accredited volunteer modules and who may need help in finding a suitable group with which to volunteer.

The University encourages staff to get involved in volunteering through the Cares initiative.
On 1 December 2012 the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) merged to form the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). As a result 'CRB checks' are now called 'Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)' checks.
