subject, interests or skills, it it likely that we have a
volunteering opportunity to suit you.
Our service is available to all students and staff at the
University, including students who are taking accredited volunteer
modules and who may need help in finding a suitable group with
which to volunteer.

The University encourages staff to get involved in volunteering
through the Cares initiative.
On 1 December 2012 the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the
Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) merged to form
the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). As a result 'CRB
checks' are now called 'Disclosure and
Barring Service (DBS)' checks.
Active Volunteers helps students and staff find volunteering
opportunities within the local community. We do not
promote or recommend international volunteering
