“Exception” is a local fashion brand in China. When I
encountered it for the first time, I was deeply moved by its power.
In my mind, “Exception” is not only a fashion brand, but also is a
culture, an art, an aesthetic life.
This “Exception” store is situated in one of the buildings
facing the famous bar street in the east part of “The Village”. I
developed my design through three sketch models and one final model
to explore the style, space, structure, layout, lighting and
material of the store.
During the whole process designing the “Exception” store, I
tried to use a lot of different ways and means to create a special
space, so that this space can only accommodate the “Exception”
clothing, distribute the “Exception” taste, present the “Exception”
look and show the “Exception” culture, making it a real exception
of the fashion stores.
