The business students were tasked with planning and hosting a
fundraising event for the Severn Hospice in Shropshire and Compton
Hospice in Wolverhampton.
To raise the impressive sum of money the students planned and
performed a range of fundraising activities including a wheelchair
push, sponsored walks and cycle rides, music events, auctions,
quizzes and hospitality events. Some of the events were organised
in conjunction with local schools and businesses.
They are hosting an Exhibition of Applied Creativity across two
campuses to showcase their successful fundraising activities to
fellow students and staff and to present the money raised to
representatives from the two hospices.
On Wednesday, April 21, the 30 Telford-based students from the
course will showcase their work to boost funds for the Severn
Hospice in the Costa Coffee at the Telford Campus from 6pm to
8.30pm in the SA block.
The 150 Wolverhampton students will exhibit their activities in
aid of Compton Hospice in the Main Hall at the Compton Campus on
Friday 23 April, from 9.30am to 11am.
