The Centre for Historical Research brings together scholars active in researching a wide variety of subjects, including early modern and modern conflicts, retailing, distribution and consumption history, terrorism, terrorism prevention and child forced labour in modern war. We enjoy a thriving research culture, with a number of world leading publications in the RAE 2008 and an active programme of meetings and international conferences.
