Aimhigher Week takes place from Monday, June 8 – Friday,
June 12 and the University of Wolverhampton has organised a host of
activities.
Campus tours, interactive workshops, information and advice, and
mentoring are all part of a packed programme.
A new version of the Aimhigher Learning Pathways System website
is also being launched (http://www.alps-wm.ac.uk). It is a
progression pathways website that is powered by our database of all
of the post-16 courses in the West Midlands. It is used by around
60,000 people a year.
There will also be project working with employed people with
Level 2 and 3 qualifications. They are offered Information, Advice
and Guidance (IAG) and encouraged to progress to the next level of
learning.
Part of this project, which is run in conjunction with
Prospects, who offer IAG to adults and deliver Connexions across
the Black Country, involves raising the profile of HE with
employers.
